I know what your thinking.
"I know how to write about my beauty business. What do I really need with a beauty copywriter?" or "I can just google Alzheimer's and get info that way, what would a copywriter help me with?"
I thought the same thing until I took courses on copywriting. It is way more than writing flowery words to tickle consumers' ears. There is a method, a science if you will, to writing copy versus content. The purpose of the copy is to get consumers to buy your service or product. To entice them, there is certain verbiage that needs to be said. As well as, knowing the backend of all that goes on when you post any copy to the internet.
Gone are the days when everyone would look in the paper for the next biggest trend or place to be. Online is a beast all to itself. There is a lot that goes into making copy SEO optimized. Have you heard of "crawling your website?" (I always think of little bugs when I hear it.) What about 'long-tailed keyword phrases?" Do you have a way to know which keywords will drive your ideal customer to your website? That is what copywriting will do if done right. So don't worry, having a quick discussion about your goals for your company does not obligate you to do anything.
